Marketing Manager – Laney Amplification

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join our team and spearhead our marketing efforts for Laney Amplification, globally.
This includes supporting the Laney Product Manager with product launches across content, influencer, social and digital marketing planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a deep understanding of the guitar and bass amplification industry.
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Content Marketing and Management

    Develop and execute engaging content-led campaigns for new product launches across Laney’s YouTube and META platforms and Laney’s outsourced 3rd party digital channels
    Curate and manage high-quality, original content including photos, videos, and written copy that resonates with our target audience of musicians.
    Collaborate with internal team members and external creative agencies to produce innovative marketing materials that showcase our products.
    Manage the Laney Amplification website upkeep and development.

Campaign Development and Execution

    Plan, implement, and manage marketing campaigns and ongoing promotions in-line with Sales and marketing Objectives.
    Work closely with the Laney product manager to understand amplifier features and benefits, translating technical specifications into compelling marketing messages
    Maintain the Laney Marketing Planner

Digital Marketing and Social Media Management

    Working with the Social media associate, grow Laney’s presence across social media platforms working to targets defined by the Sales and Marketing plan.
    Implement and optimise paid social media and digital advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive sales
    Monitor and analyse social media metrics and campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies

Budget Management and Reporting

    Working within allocated budgets, ensuring maximum ROI for all marketing activities, handle invoicing in a timely manner.
    Develop and maintain tracking systems for campaign performance and ROI
    Prepare and present monthly reports on marketing activities, campaign results, and key performance indicators

Brand Management

    Ensure all marketing materials and communications align with our brand values
    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain our position in the market

Qualifications and Skills

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing multi-discipline sales and marketing campaigns, preferably in the music retail industry or audio equipment sector
    Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns for musical equipment
    Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing techniques
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
    Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
    Experience with content creation tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
    Passion for music and knowledge of guitar and bass amplification is essential

Additional Requirements

    Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for product launches or industry events
    Willingness to travel for trade shows or music festivals as needed
The successful candidate will be commercially minded and a creative thinker with a data-driven approach, capable of developing innovative marketing strategies while working within tight deadlines and budgets. They will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the Laney brand through both B2B and B2C channels.
